About Pixistan Games
Pixistan Games is a living archive of the games children grew up playing in Pakistan's streets, courtyards and fields — from gilli danda and kanchay to kabaddi and patang bazi.
Every game page is researched before it is published. Histories, regional names and rules are only written when we have sources for them; anything still being checked is clearly labelled "in research" rather than guessed.
Some games also have simple playable interpretations you can try in your browser. These are loving modern sketches, not claims of historical exactness — the real games belong to the streets they came from.
Pixistan Games is part of the wider Pixistan family of projects about Pakistani culture and craft.
