Games of Sindh
سندھ
Sindh's contribution to this collection is led by malakhra, the belt wrestling held at fairs and shrine festivals across the province, in which each wrestler takes a grip on a twisted cloth at the opponent's waist and wins by throwing him to the sand. Kho kho is played through Sindh's school and departmental sport, and the street games of Karachi, Hyderabad and the smaller towns overlap with those of Punjab while carrying Sindhi names that are recorded on the individual game pages. This page collects every game on this site with a documented presence in Sindh. Because English-language documentation for Sindhi games is thinner than for Punjabi ones, several entries here are in research: their structure is in place, their rules and history are empty, and they carry a research notice until sources exist. Sindh is also where first-hand contributions matter most — a dated observation from a named fair is often better evidence than anything currently published.
