Field Games games

Field games need a marked ground, two teams and a referee's judgement. Kabaddi, kho kho and rassa kashi all began as village contests and now run through school systems, departmental teams and national federations, which means they exist twice over: as codified sport with measured courts and timed halves, and as the looser version still played at fairs and on rough ground after harvest. This category tracks both, and keeps the difference explicit rather than flattening one into the other. Every entry records player count, court or ground description, equipment and season, plus the fouls and scoring that separate the formal game from the informal one. Regional names and variant rules are attributed to the region that uses them, with a source for each claim. Where competitive bodies publish rules, those are cited directly; where the informal version differs, that difference is described as a variation rather than presented as the standard. Pages still in research carry a research notice instead of unsourced rules.
