Street Games games
گلی کے کھیل
Street games are the games of the mohalla: played in lanes, courtyards and on flat patches of waste ground, with equipment that costs nothing or close to it. A stick, a handful of marbles, a scratched chalk grid, seven stones and a rubber ball are enough to start a game that can absorb a dozen children until dark. This category collects the games most Pakistanis learn before they learn any codified sport, and the ones most exposed to the loss of shared outdoor space in growing cities. Each entry on this page is documented on its own page with equipment, player count, playing area and a rules section written from cited sources rather than from memory. Where a game carries different names in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan or Chitral, those names are listed with the region that uses them. Entries still in research are marked as such: we publish a game page only once the rules, at least two sources and the regional naming can each be checked.
