Why our game pages leave room for research—and how your first-hand memories can help.

A page is not a claim

The archive has structures for eighteen games. A page can exist while its history, rules and regional names are still being researched. Empty fields stay empty rather than being filled with an unverified story.

Playing and documenting are different

Kanchay and Stapoo have playable browser interpretations. Their digital mechanics are not evidence for a traditional rule set. We keep those games separate from the documented reference material.

Your memory, with your credit

You can contribute a local name, a description of your grid or equipment, photographs, or an account of where and when you played. Submissions are reviewed before publication. First-hand accounts are credited to their contributor with a place and date, not presented as universal rules.
