Ten squares, one turn at a time

Our browser version starts with a stone throw. Aim at the current numbered square, release, then follow the timed hop sequence. Avoid the chalk lines, skip the stone, and collect it on the return. Complete squares 1 through 10 to finish.

A little room to practise

Practice mode lets you choose a square. You can play alone or turn on Pass the phone for two players. Sound starts off, and you can switch between full-screen and half-screen play without restarting the session.

An interpretation, not a historical rulebook

These are the mechanics of our digital game. The archive’s Stapoo history, regional names and documented rules remain in research. If you played it growing up, share your own account with your name, place and date.
